Serbian born coach, Vladimir Vermezovic insisted after the game that “it is not all over yet” for his charges despite failing to close the gap between them and SuperSport United.

SuperSport United who remain on top of the log have now opened an eleven point gap between themselves and the Glamour Boys who had the better of the exchanges especially in the first half where they created lot of chances.

“There are miracles in football,” said the visibly disappointed Serbian after the proceedings.

“It is not all over yet but for us now the focus is not to win the championship but to quickly redeem ourselves following this defeat. I am not going to point fingers to my players, in all honesty, SuperSport United were a better team today as they scored goals that mattered,” said Vermezovic.

Chiefs created more chances than SuperSport United but could not put them past Emille Baron who was voted Man of the Match for his efforts.

“The goalkeeper was voted Man of the Match as he stopped almost everything we threw at him. This shows that we were able to go behind SuperSport defence but it was not our night. We will need to regroup as we have another tough game coming up against Bidvest Wits on Sunday,” continued Vermezovic.

He added that he is hopeful that the striker Knowledge Musona who suffered an early injury in the game will be fit to play soon.

“He landed badly hitting the advertising boards that damaged his thigh but we are hoping it is nothing serious and the player will return sooner,” he added.
