In an effort to add value to its thousands of supporters, Head Office based Amakhosi Supporters Club in conjunction with Hollard Finances, conducted a Finance Literacy workshop on Sunday

About hundred and fifty staunch supporters comprising branches from Mamelodi, Harmmanskraal, Nellmaphius, Moretele, Soshanguve and others gathered at the historic Solomon Mahlangu Secondary School for an empowerment workshop that focussed on their personal handling of finances and securing their assets.

Our partner, Hollard provided course facilitators that addressed groups of between twenty and fifteen in classrooms. The course content ranged from aspects such as budgeting, investing, asset management and debt management.

According to Thabo Gumbi of Hollard; “We aim to contribute towards the financial wellbeing of members of the Amakhosi Family so that they understand the meaning of accountability on mundane financial matters that affect their households.

We hope this effort further strengthens our relationship with a brand like Kaizer Chiefs as we seek to add value to the wellbeing of their supporters.”

The workshop, the second of its kind since Kaizer Chiefs tightened its relations with its sponsors have proven a success particularly at the time when individuals were likely to overspend during the festive season.

Later during the day, supporters were treated to a big screen view of the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United.

Commenting on the success of the workshop, Isabella Mmoledi (Chairperson) of the Soshanguve Branch said; “We are thankful to our management and Hollard for investing their time and effort in ensuring that we are empowered.

Such initiatives really make us proud to be associated with a brand like Kaizer Chiefs. We now feel that we are a part of a family and not only fans that attend matches at the stadium.

We are therefore encouraged to invite other supporters to register for their membership so that they benefit from being a huge part of the Amakhosi vision.”
