Bafana Bafana’s 2027 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Eritrea at the Al-Salaam Stadium in Cairo on Wednesday evening will be Bafana Bafana’s 500^th game. South Africa 1 Cameroon 0 – 7 July 1992, Friendly International 

South Africa’s first game back in 1992 ended in a 1-0 triumph against Cameroon in Durban; Doctor Khumalo converted a 79^th minute penalty to hand South Africa the win. He was one of five Chiefs players who featured in the game along with Neil Tovey, Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse, Fani Madida and Lucas Radebe.

South Africa 2 Tunisia 0 – 3 February 1996, AFCON Final

Bafana Bafana’s first win over a European nation.

That game against Sweden changed my life and made me an important player for the national team. South Africa 1 Mexico 1 - 11 June 2010, FIFA World Cup 2010 Opening Game
