Kaizer Chiefs received a massive boost on Friday morning ahead of the crunch decider against Moroka Swallows this weekend when the Department of Home Affairs granted Tinashe Nengomasha a permanent residence status.

This means the tenacious midfielder who has been in the country for more than five years will now be registered to the league as a South African and is available for selection this coming weekend.

The Zimbabwean international famous for his resilience on the field of play missed both the MTN8 quarter final game against Santos and the semi final first leg clash against Moroka Swallows.

Breaking the news to kaizerchiefs.com was an elated Football Manager, Bobby Motaung. “Tinashe is now a South African” he said.

“We are delighted the waiting is finally over. This gives us possibilities to sign a foreigner as we look at strengthening the team ahead of the season. We would like to thank Home Affairs for their cooperation in granting the player his residence papers” he added.
