Well-known Kaizer Chiefs supporter, Wilson Tshabalala popularly known as Ntshebe was recently selected by SAB Ltd as part of supporters to accompanied Bafana Bafana to the recent Euro tour that took them to Germany and Ireland.

“Ntshebe” one of Amakhosi’s most colourful supporters was part of the 16 supporters who will be taking part in a campaign to help clubs and Bafana Bafana to educate supporters about behavior at the stadium and supporting the players when they are down according to SAB.

Talking to kaizerchiefs.com on Friday, Ntshebe called all South Africans to rally behind the team ahead of the 2010 World Cup.

“It is very important that we support our team through and through. I must thank SAB for affording me an opportunity to be part of the campaign aimed at educating supporters countrywide. I am excited that I will be working together with other dedicated supporters around the country in this campaign.”

“Bafana Bafana have been going through a rough patch and it is important as supporters not to lose faith in them. We need to lead the way in terms of supporting our teams and show the countries that will be visiting these shores that we are passionate about our national team and football,” said Ntshebe adding that he supports the call to ‘wear Bafana Bafana jersey every Friday in support of Bafana Bafana.’

Ntshebe, a member of Hammanskraal Branch said it was the first time for him to go to Europe, “I missed the World Cup in France back in 1998 as I decided my priorities was to send my children to universities - but I was always confident that my time will come. I was excited to be part of the supporters who accompanied the team last week. Germany is a very beautiful country and also very clean,” he said.

Bafana Bafana lost both their games in Germany and Ireland respectively but Ntshebe is not discouraged, “We played well in Germany and if we had taken our chances we should have at least came back with the draw. I do not want to dwell on who should play or not play or tell the coach on how he should use players…I will continue supporting the team and I want ask all South Africans to do the same. It would be nice though if our coach can make changes early,” he concluded.

Ntshebe also mentioned that he will always support his club as they hope to climb the league table following a poor start in the league campaign.
