The Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Department, including the Amakhosi Supporters Club (ASC) and KC Retail, last week embarked on Northern Cape activation. As part of the nationwide campaign, the aim was to connect with its Northern Cape Supporters and Branches.

On Friday the 17th of June 2011 the team was in full force in the Kimberley CBD, assisting all those who needed membership cards and answering any queries they had. They also bought authentic merchandise from the KC Retail store.

Saturday 18th June saw the continuation of the Marketing activation in the Warrenton CBD. The people of Warrenton were pleased to be remembered by their favourite team. Later that day there was a Branch meeting with Branch Executives and Kaizer Chiefs Head Office representatives to review the province’s progress, share ideas and plans to make the Kaizer Chiefs Family grow.

Kaizer Chiefs Cares

On Sunday the 19th of June 2011, an initiative of Warrenton Branch saw Kaizer Chiefs together with the Branch and the Itereleng Association for people with Disability, embarking on a disability awareness campaign. Donations were made, which included a sewing machine, overlocker machine, irons and kettles.

The Marketing Director Jessica Motaung, who was part of the team, had spread the word through the local radio station RADIO TEEMANENG 98.1FM and urged the listeners to play a part in their communities and to support people with disabilities. She also met with the Executive Mayor Ms Tsholofelo Moloi.

Mr Boichoko Moremi from Warrenton Branch had this to say: “The whole campaign has been a success and we were excited to be part of this initiative. We were motivated by the Kaizer Chiefs motto “Love & Peace” and we as a Branch decided, as part of our social responsibility, to support, create a platform and raise awareness for the disabled. We appreciate the presence of Kimberley Branch, Taung Branch and more especially the Management and representatives from the Head office, which added spark to the whole CSI campaign.”
