Amakhosi enjoyed a highly successful weekend, excelling in their SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) double-header in which they won seven out of the eight matches they played over two rounds.

Firstly, on Saturday, Chiefs hosted Rockefvs FC at the Village and sent them home empty-handed, with the U14s winning 3-1 in the opening match. This was followed by the U15s prevailing 1-0, and the U17s by 2-1. The U19s closed the day with a 2-1 win.

Then, on Sunday, Panorama FC came to the Village and were outclassed in the early games as Amakhosi juniors proved too strong. The U14s began the programme with a 5-0 victory. The U15s went one better, winning 6-0, and the U17s emerged triumphant by 5-1. Panorama salvaged some pride by winning the day’s final encounter when their U19s edged Chiefs by 3-2.

This coming Saturday, 14 June, Chiefs take on Joburg City at the Greek Sporting Club, commencing at 9:00am.
