Under-20 national team coach Styles Phumo has included no less than four Chiefs players into his squad for a training camp which begins on the sixth of April and runs until the 9th of April in Nelspruit.

Phumo is preparing his team for their upcoming African u-20 Nations Cup qualifier which will take place some time in August, when they will either take on their Ugandan or Tanzanian counterparts, depending who prevails when the two teams clash in a preliminary round game.

The Amajita coach is hopeful that his team will qualify for the African u-20 Championships which will be held in February next year in the West African nation of Gabon. He will have four Chiefs players to help him make the journey to Gabon and then on to the FIFA World Youth Championships later next year. The players are Stephen Faba, Bandile Kiviet and Tlou Molekwane from the Kaizer Chiefs u-19 team. First team reserve goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune who has been part of the national under twenty team set up for the past year will join the trio.

In addition, national under twenty three team coach in his quest to take Amaglug glug to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing China has also called for a preparatory camp as qualifying matches for the games are due to kick off later in the year. Komphela has roped in the highly effective and free scoring Chiefs u-19 midfielder Justice Pilusa for an intensive training camp from the 6th – 16th April to be held at the Transnet School of Excellence in Elandsfontein, Johannesburg.
