Amakhosi midfielder Dominic Isaacs believes changing his approach this week as Chiefs prepare for an Absa Premiership Clash with Bloemfontein Celtic, on the back of their MTN 8 Semi final first leg game against Orlando Pirates will not be a major challenge for him.

As he explains that he puts in the same kind of effort in the build up to each game, “for me it’s not hard to think about playing a league game after coming through a week where our focus was playing in a cup competition.

The reason is that I treat every game like a cup final, mentally my approach is there can be no talk of losing a game and a draw must be met with the same kind reaction we would if we lost a match.”

With Celtic up ahead Isaacs says that all his attention since Sunday has been on the Free Staters and even though Chiefs did manage a win over them in the quarter final stage of the MTN 8 just under a month ago.

According to the defender It will be a different Bloemfontein Celtic team that Chiefs will be up against this coming Saturday evening, “the pace of the game and the competition gets tougher each season as witnessed during our game against Pirates.

"Celtic are one of those teams who get better each passing season, when they played us earlier they were still waiting for a number of players to be registered, now that their team is complete they look a formidable opponent. They won their last game which makes them more dangerous cause it shows that they have found their momentum.”

On a personal level Isaacs is pleased to have in all of Chiefs games since the start of the new season as he said of this, “it was a target of mine from the time I joined the club to play as many games as possible during the season. I am glad that I have been able to play in all the games this season, and I want to play with the same consistency ine every game and obviously improve on each.”

Isaacs has also demonstrated a versatility this season not shown by him in the past two campaigns as he added, “when I was young I was able to play anywhere in the field so its not new to me to stuck in where ever the action is. I think the fact that I am showing decent form is because I am feeling good physically and I am enjoying every minute I get out on the field of play.”
