Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral sang praises of the newly signed striker, Abia Nale following the player’s five star performances against rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon.

A single goal from Nigerian hitman, Ibe Zito Ogbonna was enough to seal the victory for Amakhosi. This was following a sublime cross from the debutant, Abia Nale.

Abia Nale who was cleared to play on Friday afternoon started upfront alongside Ibe Zito Ogbonna and Jose Torrealba in a 4-3-3 system. It was in the second half though when he set the scene alight with his touches and daunting runs.

“There is no doubt once again we have made a good signing in bringing Nale here. He was unbelievable for us against Sundowns,” said the coach.

“He had couple of chances in the first half where he lost his footing on both occasions. He attacked more from the right during the second half and created lot of problems for Sundowns defenders. He was unlucky not to score towards the end of the game when his curler came off the upright. He has a bright future ahead. He needs one thing, to keep his head down,”

The coach also explained the player’s substitution with minutes remaining on the clock. The Chiefs no. 11 was replaced by no. 7, Kaizer Motaung Jr. in the 85th minute a change that did not go down well with some of the supporters.

“I have always said it that Kaizer Chiefs have among the best supporters in the world but I was surprised the way supporters reacted when we substituted him. He was suffering from cramps and supporters have to understand these things,” he said.
