Who would have thought the day would come when former Amakhosi star Doctor Khumalo would once again learn the basics of the game of football?



In keeping with the clubs’ vision of ensuring that all coaches working with the junior teams have the necessary coaching qualifications to ensure they carry out their duties with the utmost of professionalism, the club has sent their famous son Doctor Khumalo to the Unite Kingdom to obtain his International Coaching License.



The course is offered by the English FA under the auspices of UEFA and will take three weeks to complete. He will first learn the basics of coaching and then move on to match analysis, which will include watching and analyzing various English Premier League matches.



The course is overseen by former English football legend Howard Wilkinson who will conduct the final written part of the course that will immediately be followed by a graduation ceremony for the successful candidates.



The course content includes the following aspects:




  • The learning and coaching process

  • Match Analysis

  • Coaching Demonstrations by a senior member of the FA technical Department

  • Coaching Practice

  • Football Fitness and Football Psychology

  • Emergency Aid and Aspects of First Aid

  • Health & Safety

  • Growing up: Youth Players Football

  • Attitudes & Ethics

  • Laws of the Game

  • Visit to an FA Premier League Team



    The Amakhosi wish our beloved Doc a successful stint and an exciting experience in the UK. This is yet another effort by Kaizer Chiefs to use their stars effectively to enhance the development programme.
