Kaizer Chiefs revealed on Tuesday that they are relocating from Ellis Park to the Soccer City starting off with the next league fixture against Golden Arrows as “the stadium has proven to be our happy hunting ground.”

According to the club’s PRO, Putco Mafani, Amakhosi are thrilled with the relocation move also because the move makes business sense for the club.

“Clubs used to smaller grounds have come out sweating blood there and Arrows are no exception,” said Mafani, “We have never been this hungry for success before and we will stop at nothing to realize our mission for this season, which is to win the Castle Premiership title.”

“All club’s supporters should come and see the newly charged Chiefs as, after all the competitive friendly games the club has been playing.”

The club will welcome back five of their regular players, namely John Moshoeu, Jabu Pule, Stanton Fredericks, Patrick Mayo an David Kannemeyer, who are back in the country following Bafana Bafana’ s dismal appearance at the 2004 Cup of Nations in Tunisia and will likely be seen in action against the Durban-based side on Wednesday, February 18.

The club will also be parading their new Zambian under-23 international goal poacher Collins Mbesuma, as well as the newly promoted dynamic forward Lucky Mzizi from the club’s reserve side.

Tickets for this game will go on sale as from Wednesday, February 11, 2004 to ensure an early availability to partisan supporters.

They will sell for R20 adults and R10 juveniles.

There will be plenty of entertainment and give-aways galore with the compliments of the club’s sponsors Vodacom.
