Kaizer Chiefs will be out to settle a score when they tackle Wits University at home in the semifinals of the 2003 Coca-Cola Cup following the draw conducted in Johannesburg on Monday.

The other semifinal will be contested by Premiership newcomers and tournaments surprise package Silver Stars and Golden Arrows. The Limpopo side booked a place in the semifinals with a shock 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows over the weekend.

The Amakhosi were made to sweat for a place in the semis and ended their quarterfinal a man down following the sending off of defender David Kannemeyer. Nevertheless, Chiefs pulled through with a stunning 3-2 win against rivals Ajax Cape Town.

Dates and venues are yet to be confirmed by Chiefs, with Stars also enjoying home ground advantage.

Earlier this season Wits knocked Chiefs out of the Supa 8 with a 2-1 victory in the first round following goals from Ivan Winstanley and Stuart Murisa, while Wits escaped with a rather fortunate draw in the first round league match this season.

Prior to the match Chiefs coach Ted Dumitru had promised to slay the Wits hoodoo but the Students soaked up the pressure well and went home with a precious point. The draw will present Dumitru and his charges with a second bite of the 'revenge cherry', but Wits will be out to prove that the nemesis tag is a well-deserved one.

"Wits were lucky on two occasions due to some dubious and incompetent officiating. We were aiming to do the same against Arrows but things did not go our way, perhaps due to lack of composure in the box," said Dumitru.
