During Saturday’s crucial Soweto derby the Amakhosi had to make two forced substitutions midway through the first half first to striker Louis Agyemang, who initially was thought to have damaged his knee after falling awkwardly when jumping for the ball.

Ditheko 'Tiger' Mototo whose free kick found the head of David Obua a minute after Agyemang had left the pitch to head Chiefs the only goal of the game. Mototo also had to substituted in the first half as he left the pitch just after the half hour mark and was replaced by Gerald Sibeko, this was after Mototo went in for a tackle with Benedict Vilakazi for a 50/50 ball and came out second best.

The initial diagnosis for both players is that they have suffered hamstring injuries and could be out of action for anything up to a month, "I have assessed both the players and they have done damage to their hamstrings my initial thoughts is that they will be out for at least this week," said Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner.

The pair will not be training with team on Tuesday and Wednesday but will be doing rehabilitation work in the gym, they will undergo further test on Friday. As it stands the Chiefs medical team are of the opinion that Louis and Ditheko will not be fit enough for the Amakhosi’s next match which is a PSL game against Golden Arrows on Saturday (17-12-05) at the FNB Stadium.
