Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Emile Baron was further frustrated after a scan on his right foot revealed that he had severe swelling and possible stress fractures to the bones on his foot.

Emile has been suffering with an injury to his right foot after a jogging accident on a beach in Cape Town a few weeks ago, the diagnosis at the moment is that he will be given time off to rest his foot.

“According to the scan- things don’t look really good, Emile has to rest without any training for a few days possibly up to 15 days, his leg will be put in a removable cast to help speed up the recovery process,” confirmed Amakhosi physiotherapist David Milner.

"Emile showed clear signs of frustration when given the latest update regarding his injury saying: "I see the other goalies jumping around in training and I wish I could be with them out on the field, I am not happy spending so much time on the Doctors' table I prefer to be out training."

Defender Ditheko Mototo has fully recovered for a hamstring injury he picked up against Russian side FC Moscow in a friendly game this past weekend, he will resume full training with the rest of the team on Friday morning.

While Mototo is expected to travel with the team to Port Elizabeth to take on Bloemfontein Celtic in a friendly game. Emile is expected back at training just before Chiefs resume their PSL season, on the 15th February against log leaders Sundowns, at the FNB Stadium.
