Bafana Bafana will be hoping to return back to their winning ways when they welcome Japan at Nelson Mandela Stadium on Saturday, 14 November 2009.

The South African national team that recently enlisted the services of former coach, Carlos Alberto Parriera has less than eight months to show the world what they are going to offer in the upcoming World Cup as hosts next year.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane (27), who has forced himself to the national team following a string of good performances for the Glamour Boys, is hopeful that Bafana Bafana will turn the corner.

“Japan are one of the top nations and we cannot underestimate them, but having said that we are focusing on doing well as we are playing at home,” said the player affectionately known as “Yeye”.

“It has been a good week working with Carlos (Parriera). He has told us to put the past behind and focus to the future. We have a good mixture between experienced and younger players and everyone wants to do well for the country.”

“The games against Japan (Saturday) and Jamaica next week (Tuesday) will give the Bafana Bafana Technical Team an opportunity to see what players can offer…personally I remain grateful for the opportunity to be part of the national team and if given a run I will grab that opportunity with both hands,” concluded the Soweto born player.

Letsholonyane, who has made just over 30 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs, will be hoping to add on to his two international caps for Bafana Bafana after impressing in the last win against Madagascar back in September.
