The Amakhosi would like to send its heartfelt condolences to Hawk Makepula, a two times international fly weight boxing champion and ardent Kaizer Chiefs fan.

Makepula who is also a member of the Kaizer Chiefs celebrity team, who play curtain raisers before many of The Chiefs first team's home games, lost his brother over the heritage day long weekend. Patrick Vamva Makepula, Hawk's brother, was murdered in East London in the Eastern Cape, the traditional home base of the Makepula family and Hawk's city of birth.

Hawk who has shown his support for The Amakhosi on numerous occasions and in many countries around the world, by sporting a Chiefs jersey upon entry to the ring has always been a model sport man and a good ambassador for the country and the sport of boxing in general.

Once again the club would like to pass on its condolences to a true friend and supporter of Kaizer Chiefs, Hawk Makepula.
