It was another successful weekend for the Kaizer Chiefs youth Development teams in the SAFA Gauteng Development league.
On Saturday, young Amakhosi hosted SuperSport United and began the day with yet another win for the rampant Under 13s by 2-0. The equally impressive Under 15s followed that up with a 3-1 victory over their Matsatsantsa counterparts. In the afternoon, the Under 17s enjoyed an emphatic 4-0 triumph, with the Under 19s playing out a 1-1 draw to close out Round 24 of the campaign.
Chiefs then travelled to face Remember Elite Sports Academy in Round 25, where the Under 13s remain well clear at the top of their log despite being surprisingly held to a goalless stalemate. The Under 15s continued their dominance of their division, winning 4-0 and extending their lead atop the standings. The Under 17s showed heart and courage to emerge with a 2-1 win to keep pace with the leaders in their section, while the Under 19s ensured three valuable points by winning 3-1, thereby keeping the frontrunners within their sights, as they head into Round 26 this coming weekend.
Next up is a trip to Elandsfontein on Saturday, 2 September, where Amakhosi will come up against the School of Excellence.
