The Chiefs U-13 and U-15 teams played host to their counterparts from the Wits Juniors on Saturday morning at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena. The Chiefs U-13s went down 2-0 while the U-15s won a tight affair 1-0.
Under 13: Chiefs 0-2 Wits Juniors
The Kaizer Chiefs U-13 team coached by former Chiefs defender Jimmy Jambo were unfortunate to lose a close-fought encounter which saw them also create a host of chances particularly in the first half, on a warm Johannesburg morning. They were undone by two goals scored in the second half by Wits Juniors, the second coming on the counterattack late in the game as Chiefs searched for an equaliser.
Under 15: Chiefs 1-0 Wits Juniors
The Chiefs U-15 team left it late to win their clash played in hot and dry conditions on Saturday morning against Wits Juniors. Bafana Zitha scored the match winner for the young Amakhosi in the final minute of the game. It was a cool finish from the Chiefs striker who found himself one on one with goalkeeper after being put in on goal he was able to keep his cool and slotted the ball home. It was the second game in succession that Zitha had found the back of the net. A well-deserved win for the Chiefs U-15s.
