It was another victorious weekend for the Kaizer Chiefs Academy teams, with all of them coming out on top in their respective fixtures.
In the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), goals from Prince Manku and Donay Jansen earned the Amakhosi Under 23s all three points in a 2-0 win against Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday morning, to extend their unbeaten start to the season and maintain a two point lead at the top of the standings after five rounds.
Next Sunday, 15 October, they play third-placed Mamelodi Sundowns at Tsakane Stadium in Round 6, kicking off at 15:00.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Chiefs made light work of Jomo Cosmos in Round 32 of the Gauteng Development League (GDL) at the Rand stadium.
The Under 13s defeated their counterparts 2-0 and remain clear at the top of their league.
The Under 15s beat their hosts 3-0 to stay ahead of the pack in their division, and the Under 17s kept in touch with the leaders in their section with a 2-0 win.
The Under 19s closed out the day with a 3-1 win that keeps them well-placed in 3rd spot on their log.
There are no GDL fixtures scheduled for next weekend.
