Amakhosi’s youth teams enjoyed another successful weekend in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) when they hosted Remember Elite Soccer Academy in Round 27 at the Kaizer Chiefs Village on Saturday.
The Under 13s were held to a 0-0 draw, although they continue to lead the table by a substantial margin.
Under 15 league leaders, Kaizer Chiefs ran out comfortable 3-0 winners to maintain their hold on top spot in their division.
The Under 17s were even more impressive, winning 5-0, to keep pace with the leaders at the top of the standings.
Rounding off the day, the Under 19s also recorded an emphatic victory by matching the Under 17s score of 5-0.
Rounds 28 and 29 take place this coming weekend, with a visit to Trezona Park to play Prestige Football Academy on Saturday, 16 September.
The following day, Young Amakhosi will be at the Maritime Sports Grounds to face Siluma 7.

Under 13s – 9:00am
Under 15s – 10:30am
Under 17s – 12:00pm
Under 19s – 14:00pm
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs reserves began their 2023 DStv Diski Challenge campaign with a 1-1 draw in an entertaining Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates reserves in KwaMhlanga in Mpumalanga on Sunday.
Next up for them is a journey to KwaZulu-Natal, where they will meet AmaZulu reserves on Sunday, 17 September, at the Chatsworth stadium, just south of Durban, kicking off at midday.
