Kaizer Chiefs Reserves dropped points at home against AmaZulu Reserves in the Multichoice Diski Challenge match that played on Saturday afternoon.  The final score was 1-2 to the visitors at Dobsonville Stadium.

AmaZulu’s first goal came in the 38th minute against the run of play when Thamsanqa Nombika broke free and slotted one past through advancing goalie, Mphoto Mohotsi (0-1).

In the 68th minute, Sibusiso Milazi was impeded in the box and referee Othusitse Modise pointed to the spot. Milazi got up to record his 13th goal of the season by sending Olwethu Mzimela the wrong way. With parity restored, four minutes after, Sanele Gaxa restored the lead for AmaZulu Reserves.

Coach Arthur Zwane was forced to make changes in the first half. The injured Lebohang Lesako was replaced with Tshepo Mohlala. Sensing danger in the second half, Wandy Khwinana made way for Tshepo Myeni. The changes and referee’s added four minutes could not help Chiefs Reserves to salvage something from the match they had a full handle to win.

Starting XI: Mphoto Mohotsi (Gk), Darrel Matsheke, Wandy Khwinana (Tshepo Mohlala), Kefiloe Mojaki, Khumbulani Ncube, Lebohang Lesako (Tshepo Myeni), Njabulo Blom, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Thabo Mokwena, Sabelo Radebe, Sibusiso Milazi
