After picking up their first league point last weekend in their third game of the season, the Kaizer Chiefs Reserve side will be in action again this weekend against Marumo Gallants in the DStv Diski Challenge.
The Chiefs Reserve side, which has been limping along, owing to five players and head coach Vela Khumalo being away at the national under-20 team camp, will have the coach re-joining them for the game on Saturday. Another obstacle to finding form has been that a number of players have had to miss training due to trial examinations taking place during this time of the year.
The Marumo Gallants and Kaizer Chiefs Reserves game is part of the Ses’fikile Festival games taking place at Dobsonville Stadium, with kick-off set for 12:30. All matches will be live on SuperSport Channels 204 and 209.
With the Amakhosi under-17 team recently crowned champions of the GDL Youth Cup, the young side will be joined by other junior teams in action this weekend again in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) when they take on the School of Excellence at the Kaizer Chiefs Village.
The GDL games will commence at 9am on Saturday with the u-13s, who will then be followed by the under-15, under-17 and the under-19 teams. The four matches will take place at the Village in Naturena.
