The young Glamour Boys delivered an outstanding performance in this SAB Johannesburg Regional League match, which was played at the Randburg Sports Complex on Wednesday evening.
Chiefs dominated both halves, although they had a set-back in the 50th minute when the Buccaneers took the lead against the run of play.
The youngsters, however, never allowed their heads to drop and continued to be the better side, being technically superior.
They got the equaliser thanks to Milazi in the 63rd minute, followed by a second from Lesako two minutes later – a beautifully volleyed diagonal shot.
Milazi added the third goal in the 88th minute. The stocky striker had a fantastic game up-front, being a constant thorn in the flesh for the Bucs defence.
Another who had an excellent performance was the 17-year-old midfielder, Tshepo Myeni, while Kamohelo Hoala did well on the right-wing with the Chiefs side playing in a 3-5-2 formation.
Thanks to the three points, Amakhosi have moved up one place on the SAB League log to third position, having 48 points from 22 games.
“We are on the right track,” commented Chiefs’ Under-19s coach Sundra Govinder after the convincing win over Pirates, “especially as many of our players are still 16/17-years-old. We were clearly superior on the night.”
