Coach Arthur Zwane lamented the loss to Mamelodi Sundowns Reserves as another experience for his side. “We didn’t pitch on the day,” he said. “They outplayed us in all areas on Sunday. - credit to them. As for my team, it’s another learning curve.”
Kaizer Chiefs Reserves succumbed to a 3-0 loss in the Multichoice Diski Challenge on Sunday.
“It is a challenge that we have to overcome,” added Zwane. “This is a new team. Most of the boys are still in school and we’re in forming phase and we are working on finding the balance of their training and academics. We will soon get the formula to balance. You could see the last in the 20 minutes, we started to play as a team. Sundowns played well though and they deserve the win.”
Sundowns’ first goal came in the 41st minute and with Chiefs sensing trouble and throwing everything on attack, they were caught on counter in the 62nd and 79th minutes.
The match was played as part of the Asidlali’s It’s Massive festival at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
