Kaizer Chiefs’ Under-15s will participate in an exciting new SAFA-devised tournament at the Panorama grounds this weekend.

The Technical Development Scheme is a new initiative from SAFA that aims to create continuity by developing cohorts of youngsters through the age-group generations together, with the hope that by the time they reach maturity, the levels of cohesion among them will be like second nature.

In this, the inaugural event, teams from each of the nine provinces will compete with academy sides from Kaizer Chiefs, KZN Academy, Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, the School of Excellence and the Pitso Mosimane Schools Academy.

The action gets under way on Saturday morning, with Chiefs playing all three of their round robin fixtures. The knockout phase of the competition will kick off the following morning, culminating with the final at 13:00.
