Venezuelan born striker, Jose Torrealba has heaped praise to his teammate, Ibe Zito Ogbonna for the contribution he has made in the team since joining mid November. The Nigerian born striker has scored a total of four goals in seven games for the Glamour Boys.

“He is without a doubt what the team needed this season,” said Jose ahead of the Friday morning training session.

“You can see that he is quality having played in Europe for a while. He is a proven goalscorer who likes staying in the box. It is important to have a player like him in this team. All in his mind is hitting the target nothing else. This is certainly going to inspire all the strikers in the team to go for goals which is good for our ambitions this season,”

Ibe Zito Ogbonna was at his best once again on Sunday as his goal broke Sundowns faithful hearts.

There is no doubt that his combination with Jose Torrealba is starting to gel as it showed on Sunday afternoon.

“We are getting better with each and every game that we play. He likes to roam around the box and I like going wide or deep to help my teammates during buildups. Zito is not only strong but intelligent as well as it showed in the pass he gave me to score against Bay United.

There is still a lot to be done in making sure that we sharp in all departments. Signs are there that we can continue to play well this season as we did against Mamelodi Sundowns,” he concluded.
