The Kaizer Chiefs development academy teams had a mixed outing against Highlands Park in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) this weekend.

On Saturday at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, the U13s proved too much for their opponents to cope with, running out 4-0 winners. The U15s followed it up with a comfortable 3-0 win and in the only reversal of the day, the in-form U19s went down 3-2 in a close match.

On Sunday however, the Amakhosi U17s were put to the sword to the tune of 4-0 by Highlands at the GDL Festival, held at George Lea Park.

This coming Saturday’s scheduled fixtures against Tuks at the University of Pretoria Sports Campus have been postponed because the Tshwane-based team will be in the Netherlands.
