Chiefs midfield general Tinashe Nengomasha has spoken to kaizerchiefs.com of his desire to quickly put behind him the Amakhosi’s exit from the MTN 8 competition and is looking ahead to making up for the loss to Orlando Pirates by ensuring that Chiefs get back to winning ways as soon possible.

“We have dwelled for a few days on the way in which we were eliminated and are now more determined more than ever to ensure that all the pain that we as a team and our fans suffered on Sunday is not duplicated again this season” explained a determined Nengomasha.

The Chiefs number eight did say of Sunday’s loss “whenever you play in a semi-final you hoping that at the end of the game you celebrating and looking forward to a final not sitting dejected in the change room.

Having gone through all of those unhappy feelings I can safely add that we have the determination and the hunger to ensure that this season ends positively for us.”

According to the Zimbabwean international who came on a second half substitute during Chiefs loss to Pirates in the second leg of the MTN 8 Semi - Final on Sunday, the Amakhosi are now fully focused on carrying on building on the groundwork they have already laid with their unbeaten start to the league season.

“We have already begun to look ahead and there is a lot for us to be positive about, the guys kicked off the league season in good form and we have played well and have been largely dominant in our games.

We cannot undo all our hard work by thinking too much about one loss, we have good young players who are head strong and confident and they have done an excellent job for the team. As one of the players who has been through this before I know that this team has the will power be stronger when we get back into action.”
