“Not really” was Letsholonyane’s retort when asked if he would like to be kept up to date with the goings on elsewhere on the final day of the season, he went on to further explain saying “we need to focus on our game and play to get a victory.
It won’t help us if Ajax lose and Pirates fail to win and we to too don’t pick a win -- so we don’t want to be distracted by the other results.
Even if we are winning I would not like to know the scores from the other matches. I would like to know what happened elsewhere immediately at the end of the game. I believe if things do work out for us than I am sure we will hear from the reactions of our fans.”
Letsholonyane has been dreaming about the perfect ending to the season but as he explains for a picture perfect culmination to the campaign a win is essential for Chiefs. “In a perfect world we will win and our rivals Ajax will lose and Pirates will draw.
"The reality is a different story. Just as we will endeavour to win our game they will also be fired up for their games. Like I said our focus and our energy is on winning the game at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and that’s all we are thinking about.”
The Chiefs number 6 believes that it will not be a case of nerves for the Amakhosi on Saturday against Amazulu and that they are psychologically and physically ready for their final league game this season.
“There’s no concern in the camp at the moment in terms of nerves, we know it is a 'must win' and even if we win the title is not guaranteed. We want to win the game despite that, and it will be for all the fans who will be there and those who have supported us throughout the season.
"Over the last two months we have performed well in a number of our league games and to end off on a high will be a fantastic way to finish off the campaign.”
