Kaizer Chiefs mentor, Muhsin Ertugral has dedicated victory over rivals Mamelodi Sundowns to the Kaizer Chiefs faithful for the support they have given the Club this season.

The Amakhosi completed a double over Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership this season.

“They (Fans) die for us and we die for you,” said Ertugral with tears in his eyes after the game.

“I have said over and over again how special Chiefs fans are and I would like to dedicate this victory to them for their loyal support to the Club.”

Talking about the match, Muhsin Ertugral praised his charges for a gallant fight, “Sundowns looked good in the first stanza in particular their number 37 (Bongane Thwala).

Their passing patterns and running off the ball did give us a couple of problems but they could not break us easily at the back where Domza (Dominic Isaacs) and Valery (Nahayo) were solid,”

“We were comfortable with Sundowns attacking us on the wings during the second half as we knew that they will not break us down.”

“In the middle, David Mathebula was having a very good game for us. It is good to see him growing in this role behind the strikers. He really created problems for Sundowns every time he touched the ball.”

Chiefs resume training on Tuesday in preparation for the upcoming Soweto derby to be played at Coca Cola Park next Saturday, 02 May 2009.

“It is a massive game not only for South Africa but it is one of the top derbies in the world. In my opinion, Chiefs vs. Pirates game is in the top five bracket of the best derbies in the world. We are looking forward to it,” he concluded.
