Kaizer Chiefs left back, Gordon Gilbert believes that the team has got a few scores to settle in particular with teams that beat the Amakhosi in the first round.

Gordon was on the losing side back in August last year as Thanda Royal Zulu came out firing beating the Amakhosi in their own backyard. Now, Gilbert believes that on Sunday he and his teammates can turn the tables this time around.

“Of course we can beat them,” was the player’s response when he spoke to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon.

“We intent to continue the way we have started this year. I firmly believe we can win this game. We are all very determined to turn things around in our favour. We are all very serious about challenging for league honours this season but we are going to take it one game at a time,”

Thanda Royal Zulu brings good and bad memories for the Mpumalanga born, “It was a bit of a roller coster. I made my debut against Thanda. I was voted ‘Man of the Match’ but we ended up losing the game. I will never forget that game. It is important that we turn things this time around,” he concluded.

The game will kick off at 15h30 on SUNDAY at ABSA Stadium DURBAN.
