Kaizer Chiefs winger, Arthur Zwane has told kaizerchiefs.com that he and his teammates are ready for the crunch game against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, in Mafikeng this coming Saturday.

The veteran winger was talking to kaizerchiefs.com ahead of yet another gruelling session in Naturena under the watchful eye of assistant coach Fani Madida, Goalkeeper Coach, Rainer Dinkelacker and development coach, “Didi” Khuse.

“We are ready for Mamelodi Sundowns this coming Saturday”, said the soft speaking Meadowlands-born player adding that they have put the game against Manchester United behind them and they are now focused fully on the upcoming battles.

“These are pre-season games and people should not read too much on the results. If you watched the game against Manchester United you could have seen that we created lot of chances and we should have scored at least two goals before they scored their first goal. At the end we lost but, people should remember it is still pre-season, what matters most to me is what we do when the league kicks off. If we lose like that then I will be worried” he said.

Arthur said he was not worried about comments suggesting that Chiefs are not ready to face rivals Sundowns on Saturday following the loss against Manchester United, “We are professionals and everyone is aware that as much as the upcoming game is still part of pre-season at Kaizer Chiefs it is important that you go all out to win every game. The game against Manchester is over and we are now focusing on the upcoming games and as I said, priority is the league” he concluded.
