Mthokozisi Yende believes that the Glamour Boys have an edge over SuperSport United going to the Nedbank Cup Last 32 clash on Sunday at the Rand Stadium. Kick off for the game is at 15h00.

Kaizer Chiefs have been unstoppable in the past couple of games and their hard work earned them the Telkom Knockout last weekend. This weekend they are meeting a side that has proved difficult to beat in the league but an upbeat Yende told kaizerchiefs.com that might change come Sunday.

“We are well prepared for SuperSport United this coming Sunday. The team is obviously on a high following our victory last weekend but that is now in the history books. We want to do well in the Nedbank Cup as well,” said the Club’s No. 10.

Yende, who reached the final last year with former team, Pretoria University said he is hoping to do much better this year than just reaching the final.

“I played in the Nedbank Final against Moroka Swallows last season but this year I want to do much better than reaching the final but it is important that before we can start dreaming about the final we do well against SuperSport United,” he said.

The Premier Soccer League has already announced that the final will be played at the newly built Soccer City. “That is a motivation itself to play the match in a stadium that is going to host both the Opening and Closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup. It is a dream of each and every player to play at Soccer City,” continued Yende.

The Tembisa-born midfielder recalled that he made his full debut for the Club against the Absa Premiership champions back in August. “At that time we had not gelled yet as the team and as for me I was only making my first appearance for the Club. We have since grown together as a team and it proved by the way we have been playing lately that we have what it takes to beat any side in the Absa Premiership. We will be more prepared this time around,” warned Yende.
