Kaizer Chiefs managed to snatch their first maximum points of the season when they beat Ajax Cape Town 2-0 at Loftus Stadium last Saturday. This week, Amakhosi travel to Rustenburg to face Moroka Swallows.

Valery Nahayo speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after Tuesday training session said the win against Ajax Cape Town over the weekend has given them the much needed lift after losing the first two games of the season.

“Having done well during preseason, we were confident going to the start of the season but things did not work out as we lost our two opening games. The win against Ajax Cape Town was a huge boost for the team. That is in the past though as we have another tough game coming up this weekend against Swallows” he said.

The hard tackling Burundian said they expect Moroka Swallows to be a tough nut to crack on Sunday, but he and his teammates are going all out to get maximum points.

“We must win this game to keep the momentum. It is going to be tough playing Swallows and we know they are going to come very hard on us. We are busy preparing for them and we should be ready on Sunday” he added.

Amakhosi are currently lying on unfamiliar 11th position with 3 points after 3 games.
