Watch out for Tshabalala - Gyan
Watch out for Tshabalala - Gyan

The Blacks Stars of Ghana return to Soccer City, the site of their tragic and unfortunate exit in the ¼ final stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, when they face Bafana Bafana in a friendly match in Johannesburg on Wednesday evening.

Four Chiefs player are in the Bafana team who could potentially line up against the Black Stars.

Ghana’s top goal scorer from the World Cup Asamoah Gyan has pin pointed Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala as one of the South African players who his team will be paying special attention to during Wednesday’s encounter.

“He is one of the best players in the South Africa team” explained Gyan of Tshabalala before going on to divulge the reasoning behind him pin pointing the dreadlocked winger out for special attention.

“Technically he is fast he knows how to handle the ball, he is the main man for me”, Gyan furthermore believes that Tshabalala who has scored four goals for Bafana this year including the opening goal of the 2010 FIFA World Cup which he netted against Mexico, is a key figure for Bafana.

As Gyan further said “he is the one who has been creating all the chances for them we have to watch out on Wednesday for him”, for Ghana Soccer City holds sad memories after they were eliminated in the World Cup quarterfinals to Uruguay in acrimonious circumstances.

It was Gyan who missed an injury time spot kick in the 120th minute that meant the game would go to a shoot out where Ghana were eventually beaten, the 24-year-old striker is not worried about coming back to Johannesburg and playing at Soccer City again.

“Me coming back to Soccer City reminds me of a sad personal moment but the World Cup is over and I am concentrating on the future. We are not coming to fight but we going to make sure we give South Africa a good competitive match.”
