Vladimir Vermezovic warned his charges that they should not get carried away following an emphatic win against Moroka Swallows at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday night.

Captain Jimmy Tau stepped up to the plate and scored the all important goal to claim the first home victory against Moroka Swallows since 2006/2007 season.

It was also for the first time since the championship winning season of 2003/2004 that the Glamour Boys had won four games in a row.

“Credit should go to all the players for a job well done against Moroka Swallows. This was not an easy game for us. I do not understand why Swallows are lying where they are on the Absa Premiership log because they are a good side,” said Vermezovic speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday afternoon.

“It is important for us to continue improving and not get carried away having registered few positive results. There is more work ahead of us and now we have a tricky fixture against Santos on Sunday.

The Serbian also paid a glowing tribute to goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune who was playing his 100th game for the Club.

“I would like to join the Management and everyone in congratulating Khune (Itumeleng) on reaching such an important milestone in his career.

Khune continues to develop as a goalkeeper. I have no doubt that there is more to come from him and I wish him all the best for the future,” he added.
