Charismatic Vladimir Vermezovic has described his counterpart at Santos, Bobbie Solomons, as a ‘danger man’ ahead of the much-anticipated Telkom Knockout Last 16 fixture to be played at Newlands Stadium on Sunday.

A relaxed Vermezovic spoke highly of Solomons, who has guided the side to a respectable fourth position in the Absa Premiership.

“He (Bobbie) is the danger man for Santos this season,” he told the media, who had gathered at the Club’s headquarters for the Telkom Knockout Open Media Day.

“I have watched a couple of games and you can see he is a good coach. They are a tough side to play against and we know that they will not make things easy for us this Sunday,” he said.

Vermezovic added that he has enough ammunition to come back from Cape Town with a positive result, despite missing a dozen of players through injury and national team commitments.

“We have enough players in our squad -- now it is up to them to show if they deserve to wear the gold and black jersey. It is now their opportunity to show what they can offer. I have confidence in all the players in the squad and I am positive we will proceed to the next round,” he said.

The Serbian also used the opportunity to apologise to the fans who witnessed the incident where he stormed onto the pitch -- an incident that brought him in front of the League Disciplinary Committee.

“I am not worried about the money that is payable as the result of that incident, but for the fans at the stadium and the viewers who witnessed that incident, I apologise to all who were affected,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, will not be on the bench on Sunday as he is serving a one-match suspension, having been found guilty of bringing the league into disrepute.
