Midfielder Gerald Sibeko got a special mention from coach Vladimir Vermezovic following his performance against Bloemfontein Celtic where he scored his first goal since May 2008.

Celtic were the first to find the back of the net but “Tso” leveled matters with a delightful finish in the 36th minute. The goal against Celtic was Gerald’s 8th goal in 120 appearances for the Glamour Boys.

"I have faith in all the players we have in our squad and Gerald (Sibeko) showed today that he deserved his chance in the team," said Vermezovic.

"He has not seen much action due to the stiff competition in the team but there is no doubt that he is quality and also an important player for us. Like David Mathebula and Jose Torrealba he (Gerald) is not yet match fit and that was the reason we rested him late in the second half. There is a healthy competition among the players and this is good for the team."

Vermezovic also explained the absence of young midfielder Michael Nkambule who has not featured in the team since being recalled from the development after he was put on transfer early at the end of last season.

"It is very difficult of Michael (Nkambule) to break in the team as other players in his position are ahead of him in terms of fitness. He missed the entire pre season with the team and is currently not ready to play," he revealed.
