Amakhosi defender Moketi Tsotetsi will take to the field just over 24 hours after walking away from a motor vehicle accident on the N12 Highway in Johannesburg on Saturday morning as he made his way from his home in the South of the city to the Chiefs village.

It was initially thought that he would be unable to make the journey to Phutadijaba to face Stars, but he was given the all clear and will take to the field for Sunday afternoon’s ABSA Premiership match. Chiefs are able to welcome back Onismor Bhasera for the match against Free State, he returns after sitting out a one match suspension as he had collected his third yellow card during Chiefs 1-1 draw with Ajax in Cape Town on the 1st March.



Injury returns



Muhsin Ertugral has been fortunate enough to bring back a host of players who were injured into the reckoning, The Amakhosi will have a familiar look on the left side as Bhasera reclaims his place which was taken in midweek by Ditheko Mototo. Siphiwe Tshabalala has overcome a knee injury and comes back and has resigned David Obua to the substitutes bench, Jonathan Quartey and Thuso Phala have also worked over their ailments and make it on to the substitute’s bench for Sunday’s game.



Motaung starts



Kaizer Motaung Junior will start in attack alongside Shaun Bartlett, Chiefs top scorer from last season will replaces Mabhudi Khenyeza against Stars and Ertugral is hoping that he can find the back of the net as he did eight days ago against Ajax. There is no place in the squad for Sandile Zuke the former Amakhosi youth development player spot has been snapped up by Gerald Sibeko.
