Long-serving midfielder Gerald Sibeko has described the late Jackson Mokoena as a great person who had passion for his job.

Jackson Mokoena, who passed on last Saturday, joined the Glamour Boys back in 1988 and will be remembered by many for the memories he has left behind.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com Tso said, “Jackson was a great guy to work with and I am sure I speak for all the current and former players. I have known him for a while and we are all going to miss him.

“Jackie made things easy for us as players, whether you wanted to change boots or something. I will always remember him for the passion he had for his job. He was really a pleasure to work with.

“He did not like losing though and you would see when he was collecting the kit that he was not okay but when we won he would really be happy,”

Sibeko, as the longest serving member in the current squad, had an opportunity to work with Jackson Mokoena for the past decade.

“I remember when Doctor (Khumalo) coached us. Jackson would still carry the kit with him, insisting; 'you never know what might happen. You need to be ready…' It was funny and it happened many years ago but I still remember that as if it was yesterday. There are so many stories one can share about Jackson.

“I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest condolences to the Mokoena, Motaung and Nkuna families following the passing away of a son, cousin and uncle. We will miss him. May his soul rest in peace,” added Sibeko.

Jackson was laid to rest on Tuesday, 13 December, 2011. The entire team, accompanied by Management, also paid their respects, along with some supporters.
