Tshabalala ignores ‘form’ talk

The Glamour Boys have been in a sizzling form since the beginning of the year pushing aside rivals Mamelodi Sundowns (away), unpredictable Thanda Royal Zulu (away) and Maritzburg United (home) who have been blowing hot and cold this season.

The Amakhosi also managed a point away from home last Saturday when they visited the second placed Ajax Cape Town. Ajax had lost only one game in Cape Town in almost a year and that came two weeks ago against Kaizer Chiefs opponents this weekend, Moroka Swallows.

However Soweto born winger, Siphiwe Tshabalala speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday afternoon said ‘form’ would count for nothing when they come up against Moroka Swallows in a Soweto derby on Saturday afternoon.

“We have had a good run, winning three games in a row. We drew away in Cape Town last weekend in a game we should have won. However our recent form will count for nothing against Moroka Swallows,” he warned.

“We are preparing well for the game and all we want is to continue collecting points. Swallows beat us early this season so we will need to be at our best to beat them come Saturday,”

The soft speaking Bafana Bafana winger believes that he still has a room for improvement despite being one of the top players for the team this season.

“I am feeling good this season. I know though that I can still do much better than I am currently doing. I have to start hitting the target. I have scored two goals this season, of which the first came against Ajax Cape Town at Loftus last year. I am going to continue working hard in improving this area of my game both at Club and international level,” he concluded.
