Muhsin Ertugral has drumbbed home the importance to his team of them leaving Durban with a win Wednesday afternoon on the conclusion of their match with Golden Arrows, a win against Manqoba Mnqithi’s team will keep The Amakhosi in the hunt for a finish inside the top eight which will ensure that they qualify for next seasons Supa8 competition. The Chiefs coaches preparations have been some what hampered by an injury to influential midfielder David Mathebula going into their fourth last game of the season, and what should be their tenth and final league and cup match for 2007 – 2008 in Durban.
Left side strength
Siphiwe Tshabalala has made a comeback to the starting eleven after missing the recent draw against Santos; Tshabalala will take back his rightful place on the left flank in place of the injured Mathebula. Given Tshabalala’s influence on the match when the teams met back in November, it would be a welcome relief for Ertugral to have him on the field and will be looking for him to dominate in the midfield as he did in the November match. Chiefs other changes sees Markus Bocsker get a call to the substitutes bench for Emille Baron and there is extra fire power on the bench for Ertugral as Tshepo Bulu is added to the match day eighteen, at the expense of left back Ditheko Mototo.
Khenyeza focus
All eyes will focus on Mabhudi Khenyeza on Wednesday afternoon as the Chiefs striker gets to start against Arrows his former team, and the stage where his striking prowess came to the fore. Khenyeza bore the brunt of some harsh tackles from his former team mates when the teams meat earlier in the season, although he only played as a second half substitute in November. On Wednesday he starts the match along side Shaun Bartlett in attack and an interesting dual between him and the Arrows rear guard is on the cards, and he will have the memories of the November game to keep him on guard all through the afternoon Wednesday.
