‘EL Buddha’ as the player is affectionately known joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of 2008/2009 season and immediately helped the Club to win the MTN8.

Football Manager, Bobby Motaung speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday afternoon paid tribute to the player who was also known to multitudes of Chiefs fans as “Mini Cooper” for his professionalism and how he carried himself during his time at the Club.

“I would like to thank Jose for the contribution he has made since joining us. He carried himself as a professional from day one and was still a valuable member of the squad.

It is unfortunate that he had to return home due to family commitments.

We would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” said Motaung.
