Kaizer Chiefs striker, Abia Nale believes that all his teammates should take credit for the team’s performance in 2009. This was after the January signing won ‘Man of the Match’ award in as many games against Thanda Royal Zulu on Sunday.

Nale, like he was against Mamelodi Sundowns in the year opener, was a thorn in Thanda Royal Zulu’s defence with his fancy footwork and deft touches. It was his cross that brilliantly set up the Arthur Zwane’s sensational winner with five minutes remaining on the clock.

“My teammates should take as much credit for the team’s performances. I am not the only player in the team, all of us are working very hard there to win,” said the soft speaking striker.

“I am playing a different role to what I was playing in my previous team. The coach believes in me and I can attribute my performances to that and the support from my teammates.

The spirit in the camp is high and all of us we believe we can continue to do better this year,” he said.

Nale who received a warm welcome from the fans on Saturday when the team touched down at Durban International Airport thanked the supporters for welcoming him in the team.

“I am grateful for the support I have received from the supporters since day one at the Club. They were once again fantastic on Sunday and I want to thank them. I heard them singing a song about me, it was unbelievable. I am hoping that we can continue working hard to put smile on their faces,” he added.
