Tickets in Demand for MTN8 Final

With just under three weeks to go for the inaugural MTN8 Final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, tickets for the clash are in high demand.

The final will be played at the Absa Stadium in Durban on 20 September 2008.

As of 10h00 this morning, there were less than 10 000 tickets left for the final.

“We certainly encouraged by the tickets sales and the fact that fans have not waited for the last moment to get their tickets,” said PSL CEO, Kjetil Siem.

“This is a prime example of how fans should approach matches for the future and the fact the match is likely to be sold out by the end of this week, proves to us that fans are getting into the culture of purcahsing their tickets early, which is great news with the 2010 Fifa World Cup less than 2 years away.”

Once again, fans with no tickets for the final are urged not too even bother to come to the stadium.

Strict measures will be in place to counter forged tickets and those trying to sell tickets on the black market will also be dealt with.

The match will kick-off at 20h15 and will be televised by both broadcasters, SuperSport and SABC.
