There is another 90 minutes to play – Torrealba

“There is still another 90 minutes to play before we can start thinking about the final”, these were the words Kaizer Chiefs striker, Jose Torrealba speaking to kaizerchiefs.com following a taxing two hour training session at the Club headquarters in Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs have been on form in the past two games, walloping Santos the other week and registering an emphatic 2-0 victory against Swallows last weekend. They will now face the Birds in Rustenburg to determine who will go to the final to meet either Mamelodi Sundowns or Supersport United.

“Swallows will be very tough this weekend so we need to focus fully to the upcoming game before we can start thinking about playing in the final. We have been working hard at training this week. I thought we played well last weekend putting them under lot of pressure in the first half of the game.

The difference though is that after we score the second goal unlike against Santos we did not put them under pressure to force them to make more mistakes at the back. Personally I am always focused in every game and it does not matter whom we up against” he said.

The Venezuelan international paid tribute to his strike partner, Gert Schalkwyk and the rest of his teammates for the commitment they have shown in previous games.

Jose concluded, “It all starts at training. Gert and I communicate at lot at training. He knows what to do when I am running to a space, vice versa. Generally communication lines between us including midfielders, (Reneilwe) Letsholonyane and David Mathebula is good at the moment. The coach has also given me all the confidence. He talks to me on a regular basis at training in terms of what he is expecting of me. Things are looking good”
