The Kaizer Chiefs Village as expected was divided into two camps ahead of what is expected to be a titanic battle between Manchester United and FC Barcelona in the European Champions League final at the majestic Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday evening.

The game at Wembley is a rematch of the 2009 final that was won 2-0 by Barcelona in Rome.

It pits two of the best performing sides in Europe this season. Manchester United was last week crowned league champions in the Premier League while Barcelona defended the La Liga title despite the late surge from their rivals Real Madrid.

The two sides are also coached by some of the finest club coaches in world football today, old head Alex Ferguson who has won the Champions League twice and the young, Pep Guardiola who has won it both as a player and a coach at Barcelona.

The divisions at The Village were evident as kaizerchiefs.com went around the offices and spoke to speak to few members of the staff.

With Manchester United no. 1 fan at the Village, the Executive Chairman locked in meetings the whole day the first office to visit was Group Secretary, Aziz Shaikh also Manchester United fan.

“It is going to be a tough game…we will see. My gut feeling tells me that Manchester United will win by 2-1,” he said unconvincingly. Is he perhaps intimidated by the sometimes unstoppable Messi in mind?

Administration Manager, Abdulla Mayet an ardent Arsenal fan believes that it is going to be a tight game, “Both teams are good but if Manchester United allows Barcelona more time on the ball they are in trouble. I think the game will go to penalties and Barcelona will win,”

Naomi Warren, Manager Customer Services feels that Barcelona have more structure as compared to their opponents, “They have more structure Barcelona and Manchester United is a bit immature in my opinion to match them. I also think the Pep Guardiola side wants it more,”

Finance Manager, ARI a Liverpool fan who is also a fan of Barca believes that Man U might lose by a couple of goals, “When Barcelona starts to score they don’t seem to stop. I think they will win 2-1 or even 3-1.”

Media Relations Officer, Luthando “Trompies” Zibeko a passionate Real Madrid fan is backing Manchester United, “No ways I will back the Catalans for this one. I believe Javier Hernandez and the evergreen Ryan Giggs will make a difference on Saturday night. A definite win for Manchester United.”

Thebe Mohatle said, “I am a Manchester United fan so I have no doubt that they are going to win this one,”

“I honestly want to see what Alex Ferguson’s plan on Messi is. He says he has a plan and at the same time he wants to attack. That is my interest. I think Barcelona is going to win this one,” said Kenneth Dambe.

Brand Manager, Dara Carroll who claims not to follow any team but ‘individual players’ agreed with Video Analyst Kenneth Dambe picking Barcelona as winners.

Kaizerchiefs.com certainly hopes that at the end of the game; Football will be the winner!
