Striker, Nkosinathi Nhleko speaking kaizerchiefs.com on Monday morning called his teammates to regroup quickly and forget about the previous results that has seen the team in an unfamiliar position on the log.

The Glamour Boys suffered their third defeat of the season against Maritzburg United that left them on 15th position on the log after five games.

“We need to be frank and say, ‘we have not done well as the team’. This is not good enough and the loss on Saturday was a wake up call. Maritzburg United looked like they wanted the result more than we did. We did not fight enough as a team,” said Chippa who once more played his heart out on Saturday.

“As teammates we cannot keep on telling each other, ‘things will get better’…we need to fight for points and start winning games. We have a very good squad and it showed during the preseason what we have a team capable of achieving things in this league in this season.”

We do not have time to dwell more on the defeat we suffered on Saturday as we are facing Platinum Stars on Tuesday. We need to regroup quickly. We need to do an introspection - all of us, “are we doing enough to win games?” I am sure soon that we will be back to winning ways. All we need is at least two wins in a row then things will fall into place,” he added.
