Kaizer Chiefs will be looking at adding to Supersport United woes when the two teams lock horns this evening at SuperSport Stadium. SuperSport United have lost their last two games and they come to this game ‘wounded’. Matches between the two sides have always been closely contested matches and this one will not be different. Kick off for the game is at 19:30.

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral speaking to kaizerchiefs.com has dismissed suggestions that Supersport United will not be at their best this evening having lost their last two games. The Pretoria based side were knocked off by Bloemfontein Celtic in the Telkom Knockout and before that they suffered their first defeat of the season against Ajax Cape Town.

“We are playing against Absa Premiership champions here. The same team are still leading the league table, so past results do not mean anything”, said Muhsin.

“Supersport United are definitely contenders for the league again this season. Gavin Hunt has assembled a very good team. They are very strong in all departments but ours is to focus on our strengths. The fact that we have won the past two games does not mean much although it needs to be said that the two wins have boosted the moral of the players.

People have been asking me about the derby, but for us the game against SuperSport United is very important and then we can start thinking about Orlando Pirates on Thursday”, he added.

Kaizer Chiefs go to the game with nine points and on the seventh position in the log while Supersport United is on top of the log with 13 points. Both teams have played six games.

Chiefs travel to Tshwane without the services of Tshepo Bulu who sustained a knock against Amazulu at Loftus while Emille Baron is also doubtful with a back injury.
